Hastie Awarded $200m Services

Hastie Group Limited (HST) announced today that it had secured more than A$200 million of new work across Australia and New Zealand. The majority of which is for delivery in 2010/11. The work includes: In the ACT • Mechanical services, electrical services and the building management system for the Commonwealth New Building Project in Canberra. This 78,000m2 high security building is being purpose built for the Department of Finance and Regulation In Queensland • Design and construct of the electrical, communication and security services for the refurbishment of the Wintergarden shopping centre in Brisbane’s CBD In New South Wales • Design and construct for the mechanical and electrical services associated with the 43 level commercial development at 163 Castlereagh Street in Sydney’s CBD • Design and construct for the electrical services associated with the extensions to Stocklands Merrylands and HVAC Maintenance to 21 Stockland retail & commercial premises across QLD and NSW In Victoria • Mechanical installation for the Victorian Desalination plant including supply & installation of wet & dry fire services • Mechanical installation for the V5 Convesso Concavo, a 32 storey building with 220 premium and deluxe apartments located in the Docklands Precinct • Mechanical services to the new Penleigh and Essendon Grammar School • Fire Maintenance Services to a number of Toga Hospitality sites in Victoria, NSW and ACT In South Australia • Mechanical works on the new City Central Tower 8 office in Adelaide, a 60,000m2 complex for the ATO as lead tenant • Mechanical services installation for the new State Aquatic Centre and GP Plus Health Care Centre in Adelaide In Western Australia • Mechanical services installation for the Fiona Stanley Hospital, Building A-Pathology and Education Building • Mechanical and medical gas services installation for the QEII Medical Centre, Pathwest Laboratory Facility • Mechanical and medical gas services installation for the WA Comprehensive Cancer Centre Stage 2 for the Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital and for the WA Country Health Services Radiation and Oncology facility at Bunbury Hospital In New Zealand • National HVAC maintenance to the Warehouse Group’s 120 stores across New Zealand • HVAC and refrigeration maintenance to 60 Woolworths stores in New Zealand • Mechanical Services for the University of Auckland School of Medicine central plant and the University of Auckland Boyle Building (School of Medicine) “These recent contracts demonstrate Hastie’s position as the pre-eminent provider of integrated technical services to the building sector in Australia,” Hastie CEO and managing director David Harris said. “Hastie continues to build its order book with a disciplined approach to tendering that continues to provide consistent earnings,” he said.
